JUDGMENT ENFORCEMENT
"Justice denied."
Those are words that describe a person who has won a judgment but has been unable to collect on that judgment calls our office.
For instance, a couple was injured and their car badly damaged in a collision. When they went to Court and won their case, the judgment debtor literally laughed at them and said, "You'll never get any money from me!"
Needless to say, we were able to fully collect on the judgment. "Who's laughing now?" said the couple when we handed them a check.
A lawyer did such a poor job that his client sued him in Court and won. The lawyer had the money to pay the judgment. He just refused to pay telling that client "good luck in collecting." We located the long-lost lawyer and subpoenaed him to appear in Court with all of his financial documents going back the last four years. In the end, he decided that it would be better for him to just pay us instead of being grilled at a judgment debtor exam.
